This course is open to all Master Scuba Diver Trainers, to take you to the next level. As a certified PADI IDC STAFF instructor you can teach all PADI core courses up to PADI Assistant Instructor and help bring up the next generation of PADI Instructors while gaining in-depth instructor-training knowledge.
This two-part course is designed to provide you with additional training so you can comfortably and professionally staff PADI IDCs, act as a mentor and be a fountain of knowledge to Instructor Development Candidates. Holding the PADI Staff rating will also further your employability within the diving industry as many dive centre management positions require this level of training and experience.
The first part of this Course is a 2 to 3 day course conducted by our resident Course Director Ayala Cohen and includes a number of classroom presentations and in water presentations covering both confined and open water skills. You also take the five theory and the general standards and procedures exams to sharpen your knowledge. This portion of the course is usually conducted a few days prior to our scheduled IDC’s.
The second part is the practical application of the skills and knowledge, through staffing one of our current IDCs. During this section of the course each candidate learns valuable hands-on teaching experience from one of the most respected and experienced Course Directors around and gets to see an IDC from a totally different perspective.
